MOSCOW - The Russian foreign ministry said in a statement on Saturday that Khalifa Haftar, the commander of Libya's National Liberation Army (LNA), told Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on Saturday about the LNA's "efforts to fight terrorists in Libya", including near its capital Tripoli.

Bogdanov, it said, held a phone call on Friday with Haftar and reiterated Moscow's position that it "supports a political solution to the crisis in the country."
